You could not have missed it on May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) will enter into force. AVG is the Dutch name for the European GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). From then on, the government will set strict European conditions for the way your association handles private data. Within the walls of your association, you should and can take countless steps to cover your sensitive data from hijacking, but beyond that, your data is at the mercy of wide area network (WAN) protection.
